Sherilynn Ruth "Sheri" Carlson

1947 - 2016

Sherilynn Carlson, 69, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Living Word Lutheran Church. Sheri was an inspiration to all as she fought the good fight with dignity, positivity and her sense of humor. She was born on March 19, 1947, in Bridgeport, Conn., the only child of Richard B. and Doris N. Carlson. Sheri graduated from Arlington High School in 1965 and North Texas State University in 1969. She completed her training that same year as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. For 42 years, she traveled the world and acquired a large circle of caring, fun-loving friends through her work with Continental. Sheri enjoyed her travels, a good book, trying out new recipes, needlepoint, spending time with her dogs, a good red wine, a steamed lobster and being with family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Living Word Lutheran Church in Grapevine. Sheri was preceded in her death by her parents.
