Fort Worth, Texas - Steven Louis Bermudez is dancing, singing, and fellowshipping with Jesus after a tragic accident on September 26, 2022. Steven was born May 16,1958 in The Bronx, NY and was the last born in the family. He moved from The Bronx to his beloved Fort Worth, TX in August 1976. He has spent the last 19 years with Verizon/Frontier Communication serving so many in different warehouses. He had a special bond with many of this coworkers and loved them dearly. Steven was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to do many in his life. He was a member of Capstone Church in Benbrook, TX where he served with a happy heart in so many areas showing them love of Jesus to all he encountered. He was also a friend if Bill W and touched many lives through this fellowship since June 1983. His second family was the Southwest Group where he had so many friends and support over the last 39 years. Steven was proceeded in death by this father Antonio Bermudez, his mother Socorro Bermudez, his brother Anthony Bermudez, his grand niece Jianna Clay, and his beloved cat Caliboy. Survivors are his wife Tricia of 21 years, sister Frances Martinez and brother in law David Braun, sister Kathy Clay, sister in law Barbara Bermudez, adopted sister and brother Hope Bermudez and Richard Bermudez, step sons Robert Smith and wife Shona, William Smith and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Candall, Stephanie, Cera, Liam, Nick, and Amelia along with an aunt, several nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Celebration of Life is Saturday October 15 at 11:00 am at Capstone Church located at 4600 Veterans Parkway Benbrook, Tx.

Steve, there is such an absence at the SW Group that no one could ever fill. We remember your laugh, service, smile, jokes and all the friends you had that loved you. I remember you lots of times when I'm low, picturing you lifting me up with your presence. No one could fill your shoes because you were one of a kind.

I just found out about Steve's passing. My condolences to his wife and family. Steve always lifted people up and made them smile and laugh. He had a big heart and was loved by many. I met him in 1997 and he always made me feel like I mattered. I'm shocked about his death and wish I had seen him one last time.

Steve was a person who makes sure you're awake every morning. I'm gonna miss seeing him at work every day, feeding birds, saying, What's up, What's up!" Are you gonna give 100% today?
I knew Steve was a special person. I wish I could have talked to him more about life. Even though he was a community man to all, he was an inspiration to us all in the Irving supply and yard. My prayers to all his family for peace and comfort. The grands are missing him. What a tough rest of the year. Gonna miss seeing him yell, Roberto!!! Many blessings to all who knew him. Rest peacefully brother!
