Sometimes there are just not enough words. Our prayers go out to all of Tommy's family. I fondly remember my visit to see my uncle and aunt during my cross country trip in May of 1974. Thats when i took this photo. It was the first time I ever got to go water skiing and of all places, in Texas. Im sure Tommy got a good laugh from it. God Bless his family and all those close to him. May the peace of our Lord be with you.

The Perez family would like to extend our condolences to the Aylett Family. Our family was blessed to meet Tommy and his family at the Burleson Softball field. My first impression of Tommy was "This Guy Looks Like He Knows How To Have A Good Time" And I was right. Tommy will always be Coach Tommy to Lauren.
Tommy ceremony was beautiful you could feel the love that his family and friends had for him. He will be missed.
The family will be in our prayers to find comfort and peace.
God Bless You All.

I first met Tom and Lisa about 8 yrs ago at our family's lake house. Our four kids were all about the same age and always played together while we were at the lake.
I believe that God places people in our lives for specific reasons. Tom was definitely one of those people God put in my life. I will admit for someone like me, Tom projected an avant-garde image of a person. His long curly hair, easy going manner made for an interesting first impression. He was truly one of those unique individuals that one comes across in life that deserves a much deeper study, a person you really wanted to get to know better.
On the surface Tom appeared a simple man, but as I grew to know him, I realized there was a storm of complexity and profoundness to his being. He truly loved life, Lisa, and their four children. I grew to respect his intellect, his perception of life, his entrepreneurial spirit, the loving husband he was to Lisa and most of all the type of father he was to Nathan, Natalie, Katie and Alex. I will always be impressed with Tom's ability to fix anything…I was more impressed however of his willingness to always help others. He was always understanding, always kind, and he was passionate about many things.
I'm glad to have had the chance to know Tom. He was a renaissance man in true spirit of the word… While his time with us was short, he laid an incredible foundation for his children to grow upon and a perfect example of one of God's children. His image has left a lasting impression on the many lives he touched. His image was Tom…there has been no one else I have ever met like him and not another will there ever be.

Tom was a man known by all who knew him as a true friend and family man to the core. The first time I met him, he came out to one of Alan's gigs - I think he came out to show Alan his new motorcycle; he came blowing through the door with a big grin, said something "clever" to me, and I was thinking, "who is this guy"?, then Alan called out from the stage "Tom's in the house" and I knew then he was something special.

Tom,
We are really going to miss seeing you both at home and at the lake. I (we) will always remember all the fun conversations we all got to have together and how much fun those summertime lake conversations were. I will always remember taking you flying with me and how awesome it was to spend "guy" time with you. You left a legacy that will never be forgotten and is evidenced by your beautiful family. I always loved seeing you drag the kids around in the lawnmower wagon. We will always stay connected with them and your presence will always be felt. Good bye old friend. See you on the other side.

Even though we don't know you very well, we still would like to extend our condolences to your family. Meagan & Natalie have gone to school for several years and we pass by your house daily to get to our house.....Every time that we come to the stop sign at your house, my heart hurts for you and your children and the loss that you all have suffered. I have wanted to stop many times, just to come give you a hug of comfort.......I always saw Tom outside practicing that "perfect pitch" or throw with your youngest son.....I didn't even have to know him, to see that he was an AWESOME father to your children....like I said before,I don't know you very well, but I just wanted to tell you that my family is praying for you and your children to find peace in this very sad time.....Your neighbor and friend.....Missy & Brian Walker and Colton & Meagan Obregon

Tom was one of my best friends for over 25 years.
We shared so many terrific times together.
I remember when he lived with me back in the '80's, I would be at home and hear his old blue van come rolling in the driveway and he'd come running in the house fired up that the latest weekly issue of Cycle News had arrived in the mail and he had made it home in time from work at Briscoe Tire for the Honeymooners!
It didn't take a lot to make Tom happy.
I think that was a characteristic of his that we all can use more of in our lives.
Every moment spent with Tom could turn into an adventure at any time. Whether we were solving the world's problems at Angelo's over a barbecue sandwich and a cold schooner, or trying to sneak backstage a Stones concert, it was never boring.
Lisa, Nathan, Alex, Natalie and Katie, know that your Husband and Father was "one of a kind" and meant so much to so many.
I will miss you my friend.
I love you Tom,
Kobey Ratliff

Tom, you will be greatly missed at the softball fields. Games just won't be the same without you there. The last time we spoke was at the Hillboro tournament and after we lost a game, you encouraged and praised our daughter, Marissa. As always, you sparked something in her to want to do better and try harder. For that we will always be grateful. We know she will never forget you. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Tom, Lisa and family have been special to me through the last nine years. We have had lots of laughs and good times.
I have one special memory that comes to mind that showed how much Tom loved Lisa. We had a girls trip to the lake for a weekend, and Tom drove all the way out just to put the boat in the water so Lisa would not have to try and do that with her friends. It is not a quick trip out to Possum Kingdom, but he said hello to us and turned back around and drove back to Burleson. Tom was a giving, kind, person that didn't let society alter him. I am honored to have called you my friend. Love you guys!!

Tom was also so friendly and warm to me. I remember when I flew to Vegas with Lisa and Tom to meet up with Joel and Kelly Morton as well as Iain and Sherri Scoville. We had a great time! I also remember tossing with football with him and Kelly and Joel's when we all used to go over to their house to watch the Cowboys. When John came into my life back in 2007, who is now my husband, Tom welcomed him into our group of friends like he had always been one of us. I have a great pic of Tom and Lisa at our wedding. Tom was who he was, what you saw, was what you got. He was transparent and didn't care about what others thought. I really appreciated and respected him for that. He always called Lisa his "cutie" and I really liked that. I am really gonna miss his company and his sense of humor and that fact that he was just so real. I also want to add that he always acted tough but he had very deep feelings for his family and friends. RIP Tom. All of your friends will help to take care of Lisa and your kids.

Tom was one of the most dedicated fathers I've ever known, and his crazy love for Lisa was so evident. For years, I've been so touched to see him carting his kids around to all their various sports and activities. He was love in its purest form. He was enormously positive. He always made you feel special, and never spoke highly of himself. He was comfortable with who he was and accepted everyone. Just a good, happy, barefoot, loving, free spirit of a man. So simple, yet SO profound. I feel like I'm selling him short. These words don't begin to come close. Your family is -- and will stay -- in my prayers. Love you guys.

We have loved the Aylett family ever since we met over 4 years ago. Tom has been a wonderful person and a great influence on the softball field and every other activity in which he was involved. His curly hair, sarcastic sense of humor, loving, positive attitude (and the list could go on) will dearly be missed.
Lots of love and prayers to Lisa, Nathan, Natalie, Katie and Alex.
