It is not possible to express the mountain of a man he was. The best I can do to express he was spring and flower in all good times, he could sing, he could dance he could tell you a story that would leave you of all sense of time. In a crisis, he was oak and rock, and his course of action took on fervor and resolution that must have been borne of the most terrible strife and in your bones you knew it. I wish he had been able to survive to see his great grandaughter Vivian born just a whisper later than his departing. They would have been co-conspirators and I see his fiendish sense of humor in her daily. To the greatest and most giving man......a solemn salute.

Mrs Milburn and JJ,
I'm sorry I was out of town and unable to attend Mr. Milburn's funeral. Our dad's were a generation of selfless duty to our country. He will be missed. I know the hole you have in your heart for him. May God grant you comfort and peace.

What a beautiful service and celebration of life. Uncle Tommy was a true gentlemen and hero to many especially his family. My dad spoke so highly of his younger brother and shared many stories to us girls. He was so proud of him. May God give you comfort and peace.
Love you

Heart-felt sympathy to Jean and family
who loved Tommie, as all of us North Side High School students did. He was
such a loving person. I'm so glad you
were able to have your 50th anniversary
together. I saved the article of it,
with your picture, and shared it with
other North Side High friends.
With prayerful love, Deniske Albin
