Thomas Gregory Sumner was welcomed to heaven on Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Houston. He was born on October 19, 1945 in Peoria, Illinois.
A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Rd., Houston, Texas 77056, in The Parish Life Center. https://www.stmartinsepiscopal.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/SMEC-Map-2025-1.pdf
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed, https://www.stmartinsepiscopal.org/pastoral-care-services/funerals/.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made in Tom's memory to the Thomas G. and Marilyn D. Sumner Endowed Scholarship at Texas Christian University, makeagift.tcu.edu; or St. Martin's Episcopal Church, https://abundant.co/stmartinsepiscopalch/give/.
