Tim,
Though I haven't seen you since high school, I'm having such a hard time with this. Even when you lose touch with people, you still like to know they're out there making their way in the world. It hurts when you find out differently.
We messaged a little bit on facebook about a year ago ( thanks for all the help with Bongiorno!) and I asked you why you decided to go into the military. Part of your answer was that you wanted to finally do something for which you could be proud. Service to your country is definitely something to take pride in, but so is being a great friend. A good son and brother. A wonderful uncle. All of these things you were, Tim.
Your physical presence is gone, but your Spirit remains in the hearts and minds of those who love you. My heart is with your family and friends during this difficult time. I pray that they are able to stay strong for each other and take comfort in knowing that you are watching over them.

To the Moran family, I've never met Tim or any of you for that matter, but once I saw that he has served our country, whether his death was because of his service or not, I wanted to send my deepest condolences, and say thank you, as his family at the same time for the sacrifices that you've made as well. The upcoming days and months will be long and hard, no doubt, but know that God will have his loving arms wrapped around you all, and bring your family through this devastation.

I met Tim through Justin Phipps in Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland during his basic training. He was fun, nice and very respectful person. I'm glad i was part of his life for a short period of time. He was a great friend and he will forever be missed.

Attending Arlington Heights with Tim was my opportunity to know him. He made that experience a better one. What a seriously nice guy he was. I know that everyone that got the chance to know Tim will miss him. He was a bright spot in an often dismal world. For me, knowing Tim for a somewhat short period left a lasting impression... God bless Tim's family and friends.
