Timothy Sepulvado Obituary

The Alamo has another defender. Timothy Paul Sepulvado, 51, wonderful son, brother, cousin, uncle, husband, father and teacher, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood. Tim was born in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, at Ramey Air Force Base, the youngest of four children. Tim's family came to Fort Worth when he was 2 years old. He grew up in River Oaks, attended Castleberry High School and then the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his degree in history, his very favorite subject of all. Tim married his high school sweetheart, Paulette Yosten, in December 1987. The two best days of his life were when the lights of his life, his boys, William Travis Sepulvado and Trevor Miller Sepulvado, were born. Tim was a dedicated and inspiring history teacher. He taught with passion and flair and he was loved by his students, fellow teachers and administrators alike. He loved American and Texas history, Superman, baseball, Thomas Jefferson and Elvis. He had a great love of the Lord and shared his faith freely with others. He was generous, gracious and always ready to share a laugh and a historical fact with all he met. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sepulvado; and his sister, Kathy Carstarphen. Survivors: Wife, Paulette Sepulvado; children, Travis and Trevor; mother, Esther Sepulvado; sister, Karen Hoschar; brother, Danny Sepulvado; and a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tim Sepulvado was a great history teacher and a great man. He was one of the two best teachers I had at Saint Peter's Catholic School. I appreciate everything he did for my classmates and myself. He certainly was a fabulous person.
