Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Oliver Springs Cemetery.
Memorials: Lukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Wayne Atchison was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Gorman. Wayne lived in the Dallas area for more than 30 years as a certified petroleum landman before returning to his birthplace of Gorman to enjoy a peaceful retirement in 1995.
Survivors: Wife, Yvonne Atchison of Gorman; sons, Kenneth Atchison, Keith Atchison, Kurt Atchison and Randy Turner; daughters, Linda Yearsley, Paula Howell, Donna Marter; 20 grandchildren.
