William "Bill" Watts, Jr.
February 24, 1947 - May 23, 2021
Grapevine, Texas - Military graveside services for William "Bill" Watts Jr., 74, of Grapevine, Texas, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Mr. Watts died May 23, 2021. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Kathleen (Steve) Ouellette of Fallrook, California; sisters, Carolyn (Jeff) Cody, Judy (Harold) Graves, Jane (Warren) Gardner; grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob, and Jena; two great grandchildren; two nieces, four nephews, and his longtime friends/brothers and special neighbors.

I MOVED TO Wichita Falls IN THE 5TH GRADE AND BILLY WAS MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR AND BEST FRIEND FROM THEN UNTIL I WAS IN THE 11TH GRADE WHEN MY FAMILY MOVED TO AMARILLO. BILLY AND I CAMPED OUT IN OUR BACK YARDS, PLAYED BASEBALL ON THE BLUE DEVILS HAD TO WATCH HIM CONSTANTLY BOUNCING SOME KIND OF BALL WE HAD A GOAL AND A SMALL PATIO ON THE BACK OF OUR HOUSE WE BOTH LIKED FISHING AND WOULD GO TO THE IRRIGATION DITCH AND FISH. BUT WHAT I APPRECIATED MOST ABOUT BEING BILLYS NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR WAS HE TOOK ME WITH HIM TO Sunday school AND CHURCH AND MYF WHICH WAS A BIG CHANGE IN MY LIFE THANK YOU BILLY YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE AT A TIME THAT I HAD BEEN GOING A LITTLE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. BILLY'S DAD WAS MAX AND MAX WAS OUR BASEBALL COACH I SOME YEARS AGO REMEMBERED THEIR PHONE NUMBER AND CALLED IT MAX ANSWERED HE WAS 93 AND STILL LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSE I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY REACH BILLY BUT LOST CONTACT AGAIN.
