Dear Carter Family,
I am at loss for words... I wish that I had known Aiden. By all accounts, he was a gift and a source of energy and empowerment to all; he must have been the light that could lead us in our darkest hours. Please know that I have you in my thoughts and prayers. At this time, let there be hope. Let there be stories. Let there be celebration. The ancestors have welcomed a worthy soul! Blessed be, Mary Gardner-Wegman

The first time I met Aidan I was enrolling my daughter Kynnedi at OSSB. He was the friendliest person, then I saw him again at the winter concert and again he was so friendly. I nick named him the school host. He will be missed. Raters for the family of comfort.

My heart sank when I read Aidan's obituary. I can't imagine the pain in your hearts, Heidi and Todd. His smile is what caught my eye, even before reading his name. The child/man spread so much joy, and still is. Just know there are so many who are sharing your sadness.

Aidan was in my classroom for his first two years at Ohio State School for the Blind. He arrived every day with his coffee, varied outfits and infectious smile that lit up our room. He had the ability to make friends with everyone he met. No one could deny him. He entered our hearts right from the start. Precious Aidan, a true gift with a generous heart and treasure to us all! I witnessed him as a dedicated friend and helper to anyone in need. Nothing ever got him down. I never saw him sad. He lived his life to the fullest. Aidan, an officer and a gentleman. I am truly Blessed for knowing you! You will forever be in my heart!

I have never had the honor of meeting such a heart touching young man, I wish I could have. My daughter and her family attend the same church, I heard about his passionate desire to be a policeman. It was a touching story about him handing out tickets in his police uniform at Sunday Church. My prayers go out to anyone that has been touched by his kindness and most of all his heart and smiles. He deserves a badge, it was his dream and special honors. I too have experienced a similar tragedy in my life, the are no words to explain the feeling nor the feelings of his family and friends. Pastor David spoke during the ceremony for my child, he is wonderful and so is the congregation. My blessings are for all that suffer the loss of someone with this much of kindness and heart. God Bless.

We are very sad to hear this news. Aidan and his family has been our neighbors for many years. I have so many memories of Aidan and all his characters that he played. He always smiled so hard and was so sweet and brightened my day. The street will never be the same without my little buddy strolling by, but you will always be in my memories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Take care.

Aidan is in some of our best memories of Family Camp at Dunkirk. It was such a joy to get to know the Carter family over the years.
His love of life and clowning around put a smile on everyone's face.
What a special angel the Lord now has.
With deepest sympathy,

Aidan's spirit lives in my heart. There is no other person at church that I always spoke with every time I attended. His energy brought me loving comfort and joy. A highlight was watching him play with the Come Beloved band. One Sunday, I was emotionally moved and started to cry. He noticed my tears, left the sanctuary, and returned with a box of tissues for me. He always looked out for others, offered help, and gave a smile and hug. We shared many stories of our similar experiences as patients of Nationwide Children's. Each time I attend a future appointment or test there, I will take Aidan's spirit of love and life with me. (And his business card). Love to the Carter and Harris family.

Aiden's was a rare spirit, radiating so much infectious joy in being alive, so much thrill in sharing life with everyone he met. Aiden lived the warmth, love, and beauty his mother, father, and sister gave him every day, and it overflowed from him.
The world is brighter and happier for having known Aiden. His life brought belly laughs and ear-tickling smiles. His passing still brings irresistible smiles, but now through tears for our dear loss.

My heart aches for Aidan's dear family and the many friends, students, and staff whose lives he touched.
As his principal, Aidan's wonderful smile, and beautiful spirit "spoke" to me everyday at OSSB!
I loved his genuine personality, his sincere sense of giving to others, and the relationship we shared together.
We both enjoyed dressing in similar colored shirts and ties, and even khaki pants! He gave me one of his Romeo Pizza caps, which I will forever cherish! And I was honored when he chose to wear a tie I gave him matching mine exactly! He truly was my princiPAL!
Aidan loved his teachers, his school, and all those who surrounded him. We all deeply loved him and his legacy at OSSB lives on!
Peace be with you Dear Aidan! God Bless the Carter family and Aidan's extended family. Unfortunately, we are out of the country and not able to be with you in person. We send our prayers, our love, and our deepest sympathy. May God Bless You and give you His Peace.
