I've known Almeda and family since they moved into the Robtown area and the Scioto Chapel Church in the 1970's. Almeda served our little church well and even served on distrcit committees of the United Methodist Church. I know of no one that I admired more. She was courageous in dealing with Church matters and with her personal battle with cancer. As I told the congregation Sunday, Almeda "passed on" -- I can't say "she lost her battle with cancer" as some would say because I can't equate Almeda with "losing" anythng.
My sympathy and prayers are with all the family.

It's been a long time, but I fondly remember Almeda and the entire Adams family from my childhood. Back then, we called her 'Oop'. What a beautiful young lady she was and how I admired her! Through her brother, Woody, I've been able to know her as the fine adult she became. What a blessing she was to her family and friends. She goes to a better place leaving behind smiles in the hearts of all who knew her. Who could ask for a better legacy? You did well, Oop. Thanks for the memories.

I have not seen or talked to Almeda in 50 years but I still have fond memories of her. The world will be a lesser place to live with out her.
