Arthur McCabe Obituary

McCABE Arthur Joseph McCabe, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at his residence. He was a longtime member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Retired from Westinghouse and Honda. He served on the Westland Area Commission where he served as a trustee. Preceded in death by wife Erma, parents Raphael and Mary McCabe, brother Tom, sister Maryann. Survived by children, Rose (Gary), Mary (Rick), Teresa, Michael (Nicole) and Barb; grandchildren, Mitchell (Chelsea), Kristina, Cameron, Kevin, Katie, Michelle, Gabrielle, Brent, Jared and Lindsey; numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Inurnment Alton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Arthur's name.

Although I didn't know Arthur very well, I will greatly miss sitting with him at the Saturday evening mass. He had such an inviting smile. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
