Asa Beavers Obituary

Beavers, Jr. Asa A. Beavers Jr., 78, peacefully passed away at Hope Hospice of Ft Myers FL on Dec. 19, 2014. He was born in Columbus, OH to Asa Sr. and Martha Beavers. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School and studied at The Ohio State University. Asa worked with his father in the family business, Beavers & Horn Market, until 1974. He then joined Proctor & Gamble where he had a long and successful sales career, retiring in 1996. Asa and his wife, Pat, moved to The Landings in Ft. Myers, FL in 2001. In retirement he enjoyed playing tennis and fishing. Asa was a long time member of The Athletic Club of Columbus where he served on the Board of Directors and became President. He was an avid handball player, cyclist, runner, and an all-around "fitness guy". Asa is survived by his wife, Patricia; their sons, Asa Beavers III (Anne) of Holly Springs, NC, and Alan Beavers (Teresa) of Worthington, OH; their grandchildren, Danielle Beavers Livy (Nick) of Cary, NC, Asa Beavers IV of Raleigh, NC, Bianca and Blaire Beavers of Worthington, OH; his sister, Marilyn Whiteleather of Deerfield Beach, FL. A celebration of life for family and close friends is planned for an upcoming date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
