So glad to have know Barbara all these years and spend her 95 birthday with her last year. She will be deeply missed for the beautiful letters and spunky attitude towards life even at the young age of 96.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family and all the extended friends she treated like family.

Dear Bowers Family, Through belonging to North Congregational Church I learned about Barbara's recent passing. I was sorry to hear that sad news. I want to extend my sincere sympathy.

I did not know Barbara well but have two nice memories. First following her husband, John's passing, I contributed a message to John's guest book and I was pleasantly surprised that Barbara sent me a nice response on a note card. Later I wrote her a letter and she wrote me a letter in response. Second last summer Barbara and two of her daughters came to the Friday night movie at North Congregational Church. Also I know that Jane Pribble, another North Church member, had been keeping in touch with Barbara.

Sincerely yours,

Edward R. Snively
