Barton A. Pruden, 55, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018. Bart was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 14, 1963 to his loving parents, Al and Lynne Pruden. He was a Graduate of Eastmoor High School and proudly wore the number 65 as a Warrior Football player. He was an Owner/Operator Truck Driver. Bart was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very happy person and was passionate for his family and those things that he loved. He loved his Big Little Truck "BLT" and truly enjoyed life to the fullest. He will always be remembered for his optimism and humor and will be missed by all that knew him. Bart was survived by his wife, Mercy; parents, Al and Lynne Pruden; brothers, Gregory (Jennifer Hickey) Pruden, and Shawn (Julie Moore) Pruden; daughter, Leah (Randy) Russell; granddaughter, Lyla Pruden; nephew, Jerahmey (Mariah) Pruden; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Anna and Jack Pruden, and Edward and Louise Schomaker. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME (436 N. Broad St. Lancaster, OH 43130) with Pastor Rick Jones officiating. Burial is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home; as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services on Wednesday.

I apologize for this late condolence. Bart was a classmate and a VERY good artist. I recently drew a picture of Batman for my kids who were amazed. I told them that I went to school with a Bart Pruden who was in my art class. His drawings of superheroes made mine look 'sub-par'. At the time, I was jealous but knew Bart had talent. I'm very sorry of his passing.

My condolences to the family. I didn't know Bart very well but knew his face and name and enough to speak to one another. We graduated the same year from Eastmoor High School. I'm sad to see that he passed away much too young. I'm so sorry for your loss. God bless you all.
