Dearest Joanie - how heartbroken I am for you and the boys. Bernie was a kind, wonderful man who's personality was bigger than life. He always had a smile on his sweet face! Despite the cruel circumstances dealt to him, he continued to be upbeat and optimistic. He was a true role model of grace and dignity, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. May your faith in God bring you peace, and may your memories of Bernie bring you joy and serenity in the months and years to come. Please let us know if we can do anything for you (from the Rec Center). We loved Bernie as we love you!
