Deb and Brendan, David and I are lifting you in prayers. We are extending such deep sympathy for your loss. Having only briefly met your son, we both could immediately tell what a special young man he was. Brendan was a mover and shaker and wanted to live life abundantly. The smile and bright eyes portrayed in this picture of him captures the person we remember. We are grateful we were able to meet you all in Germany. You were a welcome addition to the hospital reality. Brendan helped show David the ropes!
You raised a remarkable son. So thankful he was ready to meet Jesus. His Eternity will not be burdened and you can look forward to re-uniting with him again. For the difficult days ahead, remember Hebrews 6:19, "This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls...". God will be your strong and steady anchor. He is sufficient.

Dear Brendan's family,
I am I one Brendan's teachers this semester at Ohio State. He was one of the most thoughtful, conscientious, and kind students in my classroom. He was working on a project about X-men and its representation of disability in popular culture. Earlier in the semester I shared my own new cancer diagnosis with Brendan over email: he responded with kindness, but also much needed humor! I was learning a lot from Brendan. I am so sorry we have lost him, but I do believe he's been called home. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Brendan and Family, you have our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Ever since St Peter days, it was clear how strong and loving all the Foley's were to each and every one of us. Whenever Mrs Foley was our substitute teacher, we knew we were in for a no-nonsense productive day! Very fond memories of St Peter grade school. Brendan was a pretty decent chess player for sure. (How avant garde for Miss Dunn to play Jesus Christ Superstar album in class)!
I see Kate McNamara signed in...reminded me of our special Huber Heights upbringing thanks to the Menlo Way gang of Foley's, McNamara's and Kaminski's.
Can't tell you enough how much Dad and the rest of us looked forward to the Foley girls delivering Christmas goodies to our house every year. Very typical of your family--always graciously taking care of our community.
Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. You are in good hands with a loving community and the tender care of our Heavenly Father.
Yours in Christ,
