Carl Bush Obituary

BUSH Carl S. Bush was born June 23, 1937 and passed away Friday, October 23, 2009. Retired from Inland Products after 53 years. Preceded in death by parents Manilus A. Bush and Nettie H. Bush (Frazee), two brothers and four sisters. He leaves behind his soul mate of 54 years, Betty; sister, Emma; sons, Carl Dean (Brenda-his special daughter-in-law) and Brian A.; daughter, Kim (Steve) Longworth; grandchildren, Heather (Todd), Shawna, Wayne, Amber, Ashley (Johnny), Brian II, Sarah (Joe), Joshua and Carl Shannon; great grandchildren, Gage, Hannah, Haleigh, Gracie, Chloe, Kymberlee and Benaiah; many friends at Southgate. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High Street, where the funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. Reverend Bill Smith officiating. Interment Fernwood Cemetery. Special thanks to David Hanhilammi with Hospice.

They sent me a message sayin your book is about to close down. So for the last entree I'll be able to make I just want to say I don't think I' ll ever get over losing you 100%!! I'm sorry yo were in so much pain before you passed! I wish I could see you, talk to you, hug you one last time! I hope everything is going good for you where you're at! I know we'll see each other again one day! Save me a spot so we can catch up on everything you've missed with the family!!
I'll never stop lovinn & thinkin about you for the rest of my life! Please help Mama ease some of her pain in missing you if you can!! She could really use a good vivid dream with you in it letting her know everything will be okay!!

Dear Papa,
I've been thinking about you a lot today Papa.We miss you so much.I sometimes still expect you to be sitting in your chair at the table when I walk in your kitchen door.My girls still talk about you and I know they will never forget you.You were a good person Papa and you cared so deeply about all of us! I know we will see you again sometime and I know that we don't have to worry about you anymore, you're in the best place there is! We will miss you and love you forever!!!

Hey PaPa, I'll never stop thinking about you...I'm missing you so much right now!! Christmas just wasn't even remotely close to being "Merry" without my PaPa!!!!! I didn't even go to Carl Deans' with everyone else, cause it just wasn't gonna be the same without you! I'm not sure if anyone was mad at me cause I didn't show up? I care...but I don't if they hold any ill-regard towards me for it.! I just wouldn't of been able to handle it yet...I just need more time!!
I've been helping MaMa whenever and whatever she needs something! Hopefully that'll put your mind at ease a little. I just miss you so much everday, every hour, and every minute! It's very eirie walking by your empty foom all the time! Not seeing you drinking coffee in the mornings, not hearing your T.V on when I go by your bedroom, etc...! I'm trying to not let it get me down, but it's benn difficult! Ecspecially when MaMa gets sad and nedds my shoulder to cry on! That makes it hard for the rest of that day! Anyhow, I guess I just need more time... ijust don't know anymore!?!!

You are heavy on my mind tonight Dad. I think about the prayer that was never said at your funeral.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,
that he who believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life!
I say to all you men that concieving a child or paying child support this does not make you a dad! But until you are in your childs life , guiding them to to be the best person they can be,showing them forgivness,patience and how to put others pain before there own. Until you can lead by example and look at youself and say you are doing the best you can do, only then will you desreve to be called DAD!

this is a prayer i wanted said at dad's funeral but never heard. listen to these words...

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that he who believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.

I know that this life is not all there is. I know from the words above that I will see you and hold you again. Because of this promise as much as my life is missing your presence I WILL be with you again. i know that the name Dad is not something that just happens but that it is earned and a PRIVLIDGE! For those men that think because they helped conceive a child and give a few dollars for support please understand that these do not matter,but being an example of what a man should be such as patience , forgiveness and strong but gental hand and teaching by example is so much more than words alone! To all you Dad's out there I ask are you worthy of this title that is earned not given...DAD!

To all who have shown caring, love to his family it is greatly appreciated. He was the Best Husband, Dad and Papa in the world. He was the love of my life. I miss him so bad. He gave his heart and made peace with God. So Me, our Kids, our Grand and Great Grand Children will see him in Heaven. I had 54 years with him. He made us a good life. He worked hard all his life. We miss him and love him very very much. Thank you for everything, Betty Bush, his Children, Grand Children and Great Grand Children.

We must carry on.
With our memories of you sitting at the kitchen table in your chair, your stories of your life that we hold close to our hearts.
We can no longer hug you or let you take our money in poker.
We can no longer hear your whistle blow or the words of wisdom you give us.

Your wishes are granted Dad so rest easy.
Your in heaven Dad, I know this for sure. I saw you there and it was beautiful. You were walking with a bounce and ready to go. No more pain and suffering so we have to let you go.

When I was a child, Carl and his brother Earl would play guitars and sing at family gatherings. I thought they were like movie stars and whenever I thought of Carl, I always that of the magic they brought to our family gatherings. He was a gentle soul and lots of fun. We are so sad to hear of his passing and will keep his wife Betty and family in our thoughts and prayers Sherry (Leasure) Maynard and Family

I met Carl just 7 years ago give or take. I discovered the day I met him that he and I share a common interest in music, and that day a friendship started that I cherished. Every time I saw him it brought a smile to my face, and I like to think that it did the same for him a time or two. My condolonces go out to the family and friends that he touched thru his life that no question miss him dearly.
