I was truly sorry to discover Professor Corbató's passing. He held high academic standards and was effective in moving students to perform at their highest level. I had Professor Corbató for an instructor in geologic field camp in the summer of 1984 and he was tangentially involved in courses I took on mineralogy and petrology - largely due to his association with Professor Rodney Tettenhorst. He left a legacy that his family can be very proud of.

I am proud to say I took Professor Corbato´s 121 and 122 series back in the early 1980s...I´m pretty sure he taught both. He no doubt took pity on me as I was one of the few non G&M majors in the class. I barely passed. May the good Professor Rest In Peace. DHS (Class of 1983)
