Charles Franklin Fisher

Fisher Charles Franklin Fisher, 77, of Grove City, passed peacefully on April 20, 2016 at Kobacker House in Columbus, OH. The Ironton native was born December 15, 1938, the only child of Frank and Pauline McKnight Fisher, both deceased. He and his loving wife of 55 years, the former Linda Kimble, resided in Grove City and for the past several years spent the winter months in Tavares, Florida. He will be sadly missed by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Vickie (Kemlyn) Yowell; and his loving son, Chris (Sandy Snyder) Fisher. Also, three granddaughters, who were the joy of his life, Carly Yowell, Grace and Abby Fisher. He enjoyed any reason to celebrate life with his family. Other survivors are sister-in-law, Catherine Chatfield, Ironton, OH; brother-in-law, Art (Patricia) Kimble, Loveland, CO; and several nieces and nephews. He graduated from Ironton High School in 1958 and was a member of Grove City United Methodist Church and Grove City Masonic Lodge #689 F&AM. He enjoyed and took pride in his career as an independent truck owner/operator. He spent his spare time 'tinkering' with antique and classic cars. Saturdays were often spent at a car show. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Calling hours will be at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, OH Saturday, April 23, 2016 beginning at 10 a.m. with funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor Tom Wilson officiating. Masonic Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be immediately following the service at the Grove City Cemetery. Donations may be made to Kobacker House.
