Chris Campbell Obituary
1950 - 2019
Chris Campbell, age 68, of Columbus, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 2, 2019. Born February 14, 1950, to Donald F. Campbell and Betty (Koller) Campbell of Worthington. Chris was a loving husband to his wife, Jenell (Gassman) Campbell; and beloved father to daughters, Catie and Jessica; and his son, Nicholas. Chris worked many years in the retail field with Radio Shack, Kroger and Lowes, and enjoyed running and hiking outdoors and his hobby of woodworking. Chris was a 1968 graduate of Worthington High and a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Chris is survived by his brother, Andy Campbell of Pickerington; and sister, Cindy DeChellis of Longwood, FL; and preceded in death by his brother David Campbell. A long and happy life has also left behind many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 4-7 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd., Pickerington, with a vigil service following. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Chris's memory to Hospice of Central Ohio or to Parkinson's Foundation. Online condolences at www.spencefuneralhome.com

I grew up with Chris. He was in my class from 3rd grade on, and was always a kind and gentle person. He was one of the nicest kids I knew as a child. I am so glad I got to see him and visit with him one last time at our reunion. I had the opportunity to tell him how much I had always admired him, and I don't think we get those opportunities very often.
