Daniel E. Mulpas Sr.

1955 - 2016

Mulpas Sr. Daniel E. Mulpas Sr., 60, of Glouster, went to be with the Lord in his sleep on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1955 in Columbus. He was a 1973 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a graduate of the Sheet Metal Building Trade School. He retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local #98 and the International Union of Sheet Metal Workers #287 in Columbus after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Jacksonville Eagles #1034. Dan was a motorcycle enthusiast, who along with his wife, Darlene donated his time to charity events such as poker runs and toys for tots. He also enjoyed hunting, bowling, throwing darts, boating, camping, and playing cards with the guys at the Jacksonville V.F.W. #9866. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Darlene S. Mulpas of Glouster; his parents, Donald Sr. and Deloris Mulpas of Trimble; two daughters, Darcie L. (Jeffrey) Lutz of Westerville and Donalene E. (Phillip) Paynter of Lewis Center; a son, Daniel E. (Marie Heath) Mulpas Jr. of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Hannah (Corey) McCord of Jacksonville, NC, Brandon Lutz of Westerville, Heidi Paynter of Lewis Center, and Taylor Lutz of Westerville; a great granddaughter, Charlotte McCord of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers, Donald (Anita) Mulpas Jr. of Columbus and Dave (Debbie) Mulpas of Newark; special friends, Ritchie Uhrig, Joyce Bickley, Terry Bickley, Jackie Glover, Carl Williams II, and Donnie Standley; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Doug Mulpas. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the MORRISON FUNERAL CHAPEL GLOUSTER-BISHOPVILLE with Pastor Paul Gabriel officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.
