Danny Jones Obituary

JONES Danny C. Jones was born August 18, 1945 in Dayton, OH. The son of an Air Force officer, he lived in England and in many states throughout his childhood. A graduate of West High School in Manchester, NH, he attended the University of New Hampshire briefly before joining the Navy. He served for four years as a Hospital Corpsman, including a tour in Da Nang, Vietnam. Being a veteran was a source of tremendous pride for him throughout his life. In 1967, Dan attended The Ohio State University and was awarded a B.S. in Psychology upon graduation in 1971. Additionally, he earned an MBA from Central Michigan University. He was one of the first employees at a small medical cart and supply company in Columbus in 1976. His sales expertise and leadership was instrumental in helping the company grow to become Artromick International, Inc, and he received the Ohio Governor's Excellence in Exporting Award in 2000. He retired from the company in 2008 as the vice president for international sales. Dan was a skilled photographer, he enjoyed ballroom dancing, and his hobbies included growing orchids. He loved cats. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Frank and Betty Jones of Springfield, OH; brother and sister-in-law, John and Marthe Jones of Hughesville, MD; son, Daniel Vincent Bank of Medina, OH; and his close friend and companion, Janette Callander of Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Cat Welfare Association of Columbus, www.catwelfareohio.com. Arrangements by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 Kenny Road.

I know that Dan is sitting somewhere on a cloud, drinking a Diet Coke and looking at the planes going by. He always said he was "exit row qualified" and requested that seat. Dan, I wish you could be seated there now.
I'll miss his dry sense of humor and his good heart. He was a great guy!

i am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of Dan's passing. He gave me the opportunity to work with him as the distributor of Artromick products in Greece. He supported me as a good friend and he was always on my side. My thoughts and prayers are with you

We are deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Dan's passing. It was a privilege to have known Dan for over 25 years, we traveled together to Germany, Spain, France, Thailand, and Mexico where we had interesting and fun experiences trying to sell Artromick’s products. Dan was one of our best supporters and we owe him a lot for giving us the opportunity to work with Artromick. We will always remember Dan Jones with gratitude and with the fondest memories.

I worked with Dan for 23 years at Artromick until he retired last year. I enjoyed working with Dan but I was most proud to call him my friend. Dan meant the world to me. Dan was there for every major milestone in my life from my wedding, the birth of my daughters and the death of my mother. He was always there for me. I have so many fond memories of Dan I could go on for hours. I had just had lunch with Dan a few days before he passed away. He was happy, enjoying his retirement and spending time with his roommates (his cats). I will miss my friend terribly.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and Janette.

I was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Dan's passing. I met Dan in 1991 in dance class and he has remained a friend ever since. I will miss his wonderful dry sense of humor and the fun we shared in the early days of dancing.

I've lived next door to Danny for a few short months, but he always went out of his way to say hello and give me a smile. He was a kind neighbor, and a big lover of those sweet cats. My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
