Dennis Ruby

RUBY Dennis Ruby, age 92, died peacefully September 5, 2010 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born February 28, 1918 to his parents Alfred and Rena Ruby who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Pauline (Wright) Ruby, and brothers Paul, Charles, Arthur, and sister Erma. Survived by 6 children and their spouses, Sally (Bill) Wentzel of Columbus, Jerry (Helen) Ruby of Canal Winchester, Bonnie (Dick) Elliott of Sugar Grove, Betsy Kerr of Lancaster, Michael (Maureen) Ruby of Marina Delray, CA, and Mark (Martina) Ruby of Elizabethtown, KY; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. Longtime active member of Ohio Avenue United Methodist and Obetz United Methodist, where he was a longtime active member and "Man of the Year" at Obetz United Methodist. Retired from Jaeger Machine Company, Dennis was an avid city farmer and gardener and will be remembered as the greatest father and grandfather by his children and grandchildren. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., where service will be held Friday 10:30 a.m. Rev. Brian Green officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
