1923 - 2021
Donald G. Dunn, age 98, died August 16, 2021, at his residence. Born June 25, 1923, in Ben Avon Heights, PA. Preceded in death by Mary Altmaier Dunn (1996), his wife of 49 years, sons Robert and Andrew, grandson George Byers IV. During WWII, he was in the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. Wounded in battle, received the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars, and a Silver Star. In 1950, with his wife Mary, Plaskolite Inc., was founded. Sixty-five years later, in 2015, the company was sold. Survived by children, Jim (Karen), Gardner (Yvette), and Nancy (George); daughter-in-law, Diane; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Melita and Iva and "the men" Aaron, Bob, Matthew, and Vladimir. Family will receive friends at a visitation at his home at 5057 Clark State Rd, Gahanna, OH, from 11am-7pm on both Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, Aug 24. There will be a public memorial service at 5pm on Wednesday, August 25, at New Albany United Methodist Church, 20 3rd St, New Albany, OH 43054. Arrangements by Schoedinger Northeast. The family requests NO FLOWERS. Donations may be made to ProMusica, 620 East Broad St, #300, Columbus, OH 43215, or New Albany United Methodist Church. Guests are encouraged to wear masks. I would like to thank Donald. The company he built gave me the ability to raise a family and now to spoil my granddaughter. The chances that I had to talk with him I will remember fondly. He was a great person and I'm glad I had the chance to work for him. My sympathies are with the family.

Donald and my husband, Bill, died exactly one month apart to the day. Now I know that Bill and Donald are together creating The Golf Club in Heaven while they discuss the problems in this crazy world! My sympathies to the entire Dunn Family.
