Dorothy Wilkins Obituary

WILKINS Dorothy Fuller Wilkins, age 95, of Powell, OH and formerly a 25-year resident of Houghton Lake, MI and a 20-year resident of Lancaster, OH, died Sunday, August 27, 2006. Born in Worthington to the late James and Ella (Peecher) Fuller, her family resided in Columbus where she graduated from Columbus West High School, Class of 1928 and attended The Ohio State University for two years. In 1987, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Robert A. Wilkins Sr. She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert (Fran) Wilkins of Berrien Springs, MI; her daughter, Jean (Kent) Bermingham of Powell; her grandchildren, Kent (Charity) Bermingham Jr. and Susan Bermingham; and her three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew and Catherine Bermingham, all of Powell. Dorothy was a member and pianist of the Houghton Lake, Michigan Seventh-day Adventist Church and a member of the Worthington Seventh-day Adventist Church. Music was a big part of her life. Private services were held for the family at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, OH 43065, 614-792-1471. Burial services were held at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to The Worthington Seventh-day Adventist Church Building Fund, 385 East Dublin-Granville Rd., Worthington, OH 43085, in Dorothy's memory.
