Dyanna Irvine Obituary

IRVINE Dyanna "Dee Dee" Austin Irvine, age 48, of Wesley Chapel, died Saturday morning, January 14, 2006 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at DAVIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, officiated by Ministers Jeff Walling and Robin Weier. Dee Dee loved her family, friends, and neighbors. She daily shared her gentle, kind spirit with those close to her and those she served. She enjoyed her family, vacations, and relaxing at the beach. She also loved spending time with her dad. She had many interests which included reading, gardening, and refinishing antique furniture. She loved teaching and was a First Grade Teacher at Wesley Chapel Elementary School, where she loved each child she taught and they loved her. She and her family worship at Providence Road Church of Christ in Charlotte. She will be sadly missed. Dee Dee was born on February 27, 1957 in Columbus, OH, a daughter of Curtis Frank Austin and the late Jewell Wanda Lee Austin. She graduated from Logan High School, Logan, OH, and The Ohio State University. She continued her education by receiving her Masters Degree in Education from Ball State University in IN. Survivors include her husband, J. Martin Irvine of the home; one son, Jared Irvine and wife Abby of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Holly Dyann Irvine and Amelia Daun Irvine, both of the home; her father, Curtis Frank Austin and wife Mitzi of Marshville; one brother, Curt Austin, Jr. and wife Deana of Melbourne, FL; one sister, Donna Edwards and husband Dana of Proctorville, OH. The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at their home. In lieu of flowers, the family requesting to begin an elementary education student scholarship fund in Dee Dee's memory, c/o Providence Road Church of Christ, 4900 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28226. Contributions may also be made to Edwards Cancer Center at CMC-Union, c/o Fund Development, P.O. Box 5033, Monroe, NC 28111 or to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204; or to a charity of your choice. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. My daughter was a student of Dyanna's 2 years ago while attending Wesley Chapel. She was such a wonderful teacher and her gentle manner with the kids helped my daughter develop a real love of school and learning. May good memories comfort you this difficult time.
