Edward Johnson Sr.

Johnson Rev. Edward Johnson Sr., 73, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his home after a short illness with cancer. He was born September 11, 1942 Pensacola, Florida, the son of the late Rev. Elijah Johnson Sr. and Lillie Mae Middleton. Preceded in death by grandson Traevon E. Johnson. He retired from Buckeye Steel in the year of 2002. Survivors include his wife, Anita Johnson; extended mom, Della Johnson of Pensacola, FL; four brothers, Rev. Nehemiah (Martha) Johnson, Pastor Elijah (Ella) Johnson Jr., Pastor David (Nicole) Johnson, and Elder Joseph (Julie) Johnson; two sisters, Anita Ann Johnson and Cynthia Johnson, all of Pensacola, FL; seven children, Andre Johnson, Sr., Edward (Danielle) Johnson, Jr., Waymond Johnson, Felicia (David) Brogdon, Mary Alice Parker, Alvis Dabney, and Bridgette (Albert) Anderson; two stepchildren, Shedrick and Lakeela Parker; sister-in-law, Andrea Reeves; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren of Columbus; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of Pensacola, FL. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at New Fellowship Baptist Church, 3420 Petzinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43232.
