Elizabeth McNulty Obituary

McNulty Elizabeth Ann McNulty, of Columbus, OH, peacefully died and went to Heaven on Thursday, March 19, 2015. She was 92 years old. Born in Altoona, PA to the late Charles and Ernestine Bertram, she was also preceded in death by her siblings Margaret F. Bertram, Josephine McCaskey, Bernard Bertram, Catherine Therese White and Ernestine O'Shaughnessy of Philadelphia. She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Toland of Somerset, NJ and Mildred Mullen of Philadelphia; and by her many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Betty is also survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Francis John "Frank" McNulty; their three children, Maryann McNulty of Columbus, Charles McNulty and his wife, Jill of Gahanna with their children, Jessica (Tommy) Moran, Molly and Aidan, and Jane Dougan and her husband, Rob of Granville, OH with their children, Teryn and Torey. Betty and Frank resided at Claremont Retirement Village. She graduated from West Philadelphia Catholic Girls School and worked for Sears Roebuck for over 15 years. Betty was committed to her family and her Church, volunteering for many years as a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and also in the school there. She was a member of St. Brendan and St. Peter Parishes in later years. Her family will welcome friends from 5-8 p.m. MONDAY at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, OH 43065. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2015 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus, OH 43235 with The Reverend Mark Summers, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial contributions to Kobacker House/Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, OH 43214, in Betty's memory.
