Elliott Feldman Obituary

Feldman Dr. Elliott P. Feldman, age 79, passed away on June 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Ann Feldman. He is survived by his sons, Bryan (Melissa) Feldman and Andrew Feldman; partner, Sherrie Meyer; sister, Sally Lepofsky; grandchildren, Natalie, Olivia and Will Feldman; Elinor Shook; friend, Bernie Shapiro; and many more close friends in both Columbus and Florida. Elliott was born and grew up in Detroit. He graduated from Wayne St. University and Des Moines University medical school. After completing his training at Doctors Hospital, he began a family practice on the west side of Columbus that thrived for more than 40 years. He always felt humbled to have had so many patients put their faith and trust in his hands. An avid golfer, Elliott sought every opportunity to play. He treasured the long lasting relationships he developed on the golf course at WHCC and in Boca Raton. He enjoyed his almost daily golf games and was continually looking for ways to hit the ball just a few yards farther. He was honored to serve as a past president of the CDGA. After retiring, Elliott moved to Florida where he furthered his love of food. He appreciated fine dining as well "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants. He was always experimenting in the kitchen with "his version" of a recipe that included an abundance of butter, cream, and salt. In Florida, he also met his companion, Sherrie, nearly 10 years ago and they shared a vibrant social life together. Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at New Agudas Achim Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way. Shiva will be observed at Bryan and Melissa Feldman's home 2-5 p.m. on Sunday and 5-8 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to a charity of the donor's choice. Elliott and I were in the same high school graduating class and attended undergrad together at the University of Detroit. Although I had seen him only twice in all of the years post college, I'll always remember the great laughs and good times we experienced together. His friendship was special. Rest in peace old friend.

I remember Dr Feldman from my years as a nurse at Doctors Hospital in the '60 s. He was always such a gentleman and so pleasant. I hope his golf course in Heaven is always green and beautiful.

I will miss the many times we rode together playing golf. With Elliott being born as a Michigander and then moving south to Ohio, we had a great time bantering about UM-OSU over the past decade. Unfortunately for me, he got the best of it in recent years. When my daughter moved to the Columbus area, he gave me a complete education on Columbus; he knew everybody! Rest in peace, Elliott, all of your golf buddies will miss you.

My sincerest sympathies to Elliot's family. I and all our golf group here in Boca Raton are so saddened to hear of his passing. He was always such a joy on and off the golf course and he loved the game. We will woefully miss our good friend and golf partner

I worked with this wonderful, caring and generous man for 38 years. He was not only my boss but a part of our extended family. He always attended our family functions, weddings and 4th of july parties even if only staying for a short while ( usually to get a few of my meatballs..his favorite). He treated many of my family members with great care and respect. Even after his retirement we kept in touch by an occasional dinner gathering with all the girls from Westland Family Practice or a birthday wish phone call or just to say how are you doing. I am deeply saddened by his passing but my memories of him and our Westland Family Practice family will always be in my mind and heart. We all loved you.
