am See waren wunderbar.

When I was growing up, payday meant my dad would bring home rolls from Resch's Bakery. Birthdays were celebrated with Resch's cakes and 41 years ago, a Resch's wedding cake was at the center table of my wedding reception. I now travel across town so that my grandchildren can enjoy this wonderful bakery. Resch's has been a favorite in our family for four generations. Our deepest sympathy to the Resch family.

Mrs. Resch, Frank Jr, and Lisa, Your dad was fantastic. Resch's Bakery was my job all through high school. I think of you all so often as I share stories of working with all of you, while I was growing up. My days at the bakery were fun as well as educational. I remember the huge old cash register we used when I worked there, cleaning the cases and very busy Saturday mornings. It gave me a great start in the working world and your dad set a wonderful example of how to treat people.....fairly. I've carried what I learned then, all through my life. And still use the same principles today. He will be dearly missed.

Jeri, Frank and Lisa. My deepest sympathies go to you at this time. I will never forget how much I enjoyed working for Frank at 1029. I still remember how fascinated Frank was when my dad did some work on the house at Buckeye Lake and built a clever "covering" for the toilet in the basement. To me, it was just my dad doing what he always did with his carpentry. To Frank, it was a topic of conversation!
Rest in peace Frank. You will be surely missed.

Jeri and family. I am saddened to hear of Franks passing. I started working for Frank in 1964 at age 14 (I lied about my age!) until 1968 when I went into the USMC. Frank started as my employer but ended up a friend. I remember his and Jeri's visit with us in California in the mid 1980's. Frank was surprised to find out that I jokingly told all of my Marine buddies that at one time I was the "Best apprentice Baker in Columbus Ohio". He chuckled at that and never forgot it. He would bring it up every time I saw him. Softspoken, energetic and a most gracious boss, Frank was my mentor. Frank taught me lessons that have endured throughout my lifetime. Most important of which was humility and humor. Rest in peace Frank. You will be greatly missed. To the Resch family may God be with you in your time of sorrow.

Resch family,
I worked at Resch's on East Livingston at Yearling Rd. in the mid 70's. I loved it~decorating specialty cakes, and stuffig filling into the doughnuts. Frank would also have me drizzle the icing on the grandma rolls. He would save the first warm batch of pretzels for us in the back room decorating. I remember him fondly as a very soft spoken, decent, and respectful man and how he treated his employees like family. May you have peace knowing that Frank is with Our Lord, no longer suffering, and always in our hearts. God bless all who knew Frank. He was truly loved by many.

To the entire Resch Family from the Lorenz family. Almost my entire family has worked for Resch's Bakery and I do not have enough room to emphasize the love and gratitude we have for all of you. So many memories at work and outside of work. We thank you and your father for your patience, teachings, forgiveness and giving us opportunities. None of us would be where we are with out your dad. We truly loved him and cherish knowing him.Our hearts ache for your loss. We will never forget him. Brigitte.

I am asking that God's covering will be over the Resch's family. I didn't know Mr. Resch personally but I have grown up with Resch bakery with my birthdays & graduation cakes that my family would purchase from the bakery. Oh yes, I am very addicted to those delicous donuts which was brought on by father in my early teens. Thank you, Mr. Resch for your bakery & may you & your legacy until to live on.
