Thank you, internet, for reminding me of the anniversary of the passing of this great man.

As I too write my final chapters, I am reminded of the handful of people in my life who changed my course for the better and whose memory bring me a smile. Colonel Steen, your tenure at Ohio State was legendary. I call on my fellow cadets, who became Air Force officers, to share their memories of this great man

Col. Steen swearing me in, 1976, Ohio State!

I still have a picture of me and Col. Steen swearing me in as I accepted my ROTC scholarship in 1976. I will try to find it and post it here. It is a wonderful picture of him -- and I look so young as well!

My condolences.
