Frederick Knopf Obituary

KNOPF Frederick E. Knopf, Jr., age 79, of Westerville, passed away Friday, June 24, 2005 at Kobacker House. Veteran of WW II (Europe Theater) and Korean War. Graduate of Temple University. Retired Claims Manager after 30 years from Harleysville Insurance Company and 15 years at OIGA/WVIGA. Lifetime member of VFW and AmVets, member of Eagles FOB and American Legion. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy of 49 years. Survived by son, Carl (Donna) Knopf of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters, Linda (Rusty) Wills of Poland, OH, Donna (Al) Ortiz of Pickerington; grandchildren, Megan, Jodi, Kyle, Adam, Alex; brother, William (Eleanor) Knopf. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State St., Westerville. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in his memory to Hospice at Riverside, 3595 Olengangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43214 or Columbus Cancer Clinic, 65 Ceramic Dr., Columbus, OH 43214.
