Gary Wayne Vernon age 67. Saturday, July 20, 2019 Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Survived by wife, Connie Vernon; sons, Gary Jr. (Tara), Kevin (Jaime); grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brittany, Lexi and Jacob; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Geoffrey; parents, Guy and Betty Vernon; sister, Donna. A memorial service will be held at a later date with arrangements to be announced at www.evansfuneralhome.net In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary's memory to The Humane Society. Arrangements by EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave.

We are so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He was so sweet. One of my favorite memories is when he was doing some work at our house and he had several pictures of his granddaughters 10th birthday party. We sat for probably 30 minutes talking about her. She had got a microphone he loved this picture of her holding the microphone. And then probably another 30 minutes about the family. He was such a proud grandpa. He had a sparkle in his eyes talking about her and his boys. He was a very proud father too. Loved his boys, his family. Your family is deep in our hearts and prayers.

Gary- great guy and loyal friend Grew up with him in Linden and went to middle school at McGuffey. Always funny and very talented musically. Had a great personality and was very popular. My fondest memory was at Linden Park in winter ice skating on the pond with Gary. We were so cold but had the time of our life. I will miss his laughter and smile. I am so sorry for your loss Connie. God bless.
