A great person has been lost to us. I remember a number of years ago when I was a member of NAWIC & worked for American Precast (now Fabcon) he was to be our speaker at the Southern Hotel. I had organized the meeting but forgot to check about handicap access. I felt so bad that they had to take him on the food elevator through the kitchen. He patted my hand and said "Don't feel bad, who else got such a great view of the kitchen". What a great man he was. My sympathies are with the family at this difficult time.

Uncle George will always be high on my list of people that influenced my life. His positive attitude toward living life, despite the double whammy of both polio and diabetes, has always inspired me to believe that no matter what adversity is thrown in your path, you can overcome it if you persevere and keep a positive attitude. His special interest in me as I matured will always be appreciated and never forgotten. When I required "something borrowed" for my wedding in 1979, Uncle George lent me his diamond stick pin, as well as his beloved 55 Ford convertible that we used to leave the church. Good bye, Uncle George, I'll miss you.
