Ghanem. You are such a wonderful person, and your smile always brought joy to everyone who knew you. It has been a very long time since the first time we met in the 90s when we used to play soccer. Today, as I was recalling those past years, out of everyone else I knew, you popped into my world smiling as always. You'll always be remembered for your kindness. your laughter, and big heart. Dear Ghanem,
Sorry it has taking me so long to write this... My heart and mind can not believe you are not here with us. You are my brother , my friend.. There is not a day that goes by that Laurie and I dont miss u!!!! everyone tells us it will become easier and the pain will subside... WRONG!!! Here its been 3 and 1/2 months and We see u everywhere we turn. Laurie Takes mom to visit you weekly and wonder why we had to loose you!!!! The girls love you and miss u so much.. What are we to do with out u??? We miss u my brother and will love you the rest of our lives.. Tell Yabba hello and we miss him too. My heart is broken GMAN , I cant watch Soccer with out wanting to pick up the phone and call u. :( My life will never be the same with out u in it.. We love you man and will always cherish you. I only knew you for a short time, and I see as I read this, it is my regrettable situation that it wasn't longer and better that I knew you. I could always tell no matter what, though, that you had a kind and genuine heart, and I am sorry that you are gone so long before your time and with so much more to do. It is my greatest wish for you that you have found peace in your new home, and that your loved ones may somehow find the same. I know how badly they are hurting, and I'm sure you miss them as well. But until the time that you, they, and we are all reunited, please rest.

My deepest sympathies to the Khoury family. I am so sorry to just have heard this horrible news about my Friend, my soccer teammate, and my brother. He was so close to our family, he was one of us. He and my older brother shared unforgettable times. As I sit here in disbelief about what had happened to him, I can only say that we have lost a one of the most humble, sweet, genuine human beings that does deserve anything but good. His presence, his smile, his jokes, the love that he shared when in the room will be missed. I will never forget when Ghanem was coaching Wellington High school, and we had a bet that I will score the winning goal against his team. And when I did, he was happy for me. He helped me in more than one way, from getting a job with him at skyline chili, to calming my brother down when he was upset with me, to seeing him out and about town having a great time. Ghanem, I and my family will always remember you and will always love you. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the Khoury family. And my you rest in peace.

My sympathy and prayers go out to the Khoury family. I was his son's (Kamal) first grade teacher. I have many memories of Ghanem running through the school with Kamal's lunch so that Kamal could have plenty of time to eat. He was a very thoughtful and kind man.
