Dr. Glenn F. Oliver

OLIVER Dr. Glenn F. Oliver, age 86, Friday, November 25, 2011 at Westminster Thurber Village. He was a lifelong Columbus resident, a graduate of The Ohio State University and member of the 1943, 1946 and 1947 OSU football squad. He served our county in WWII as a pilot in the Army Air Corp. in 1944 and 1945. A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, he practiced in Columbus for 45 years. "Doc" was a passionate world traveler, snow skier, sailor and OSU tailgater. He is preceded in death by Joan, his wife of 37 years and is survived by his former wife, Murland Minor Oliver; sons, Dean and Dann; daughter, Diane (Jeff) Schulz; step-children, David (Patti) Meinert, James Meinert and Sally (David) Penrod; eight grand-children; two great-grandchildren; sister, Suzanne Oliver Bacon; and life long friend, Lois Guda. Friends may call Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 4476 N. High St. (two blocks north of Henderson Rd.), 268-8811, where his Memorial Service will be at 3 p.m. Rev Jessica Myers officiating.
