Jack Fishburn Obituary
Walter C. "Jack" Fishburn, age 87, of Marengo, passed away Monday at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Jack was a longtime area farmer and community steward who engaged in many endeavors for the betterment of the Marengo community, Morrow County, and beyond. The Fishburns were owners of many local businesses in Morrow County, including Fishburn Services, Producing and Farms; the former Marengo, Mt. Gilead and Mansfield Auto Parts Stores; Ole Farmstead Inn, now Legacy Restaurant, Suds 'n Sun, Sparkle 'n Shine, and the Cardinal Center Campground and Shooting Center, Karen's Kids Campus, and recently the Dollar Tree Distribution Center where of hundreds of jobs were created for the community. Their farming operation included livestock as well as raising grain and hay. Left to cherish his memory include daughter, Denise Aumend; son, Dan "Boone" (Debbie) Fishburn, all of Marengo; grandchildren, Devin Aumend, Travis (Sara) Fishburn, Renae (Daniel) Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Mason Schwartz, Harrison, and Ezra Fishburn; sister, Bonnie Scheerer of New London; brother-in-law, Kendall Wood of Coshocton; extended family, Fishburn associates, and the Morrow County Community. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 58 years Karen, sister Mary Brehm, and brother Dick (Shelia) Fishburn. Friends may call from 2-7pm on Thursday at the Marengo United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 8 N. Main St., Marengo, OH 43334, where services celebrating his life will be held at 11am Friday. The service will be live-streamed at https://www.facebook.com/SunburySFH/. Burial will be held privately for his family in Bloomfield Cemetery. The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury is honored to serve the Fishburn Family. Dear Uncle Jack, you were so very loved by many and will be truly missed. You may be gone but will NEVER EVER be forgotten.
The world was definitely a better place with you in it but your Legacy WILL carry on ! We will always remember our last meal with you of your favorite juicy prime rib at The Legacy Restaurant! God Speed Uncle Jack!

Mr. Fishburn will be surely missed. He did a great service to all trapshooters and Ohio with the opening and development of The Cardinal Center, even though he was not a trapshooter himself. Thanks to him, he brought the Grand American back to Ohio as far as myself and many others are concerned. God rest his entrepreneurial soul. Many condolences to the family from many, many trapshooters.
