James D. Nevius

NEVIUS James D. Nevius, age 46, of Pickerington, suddenly Friday, March 4, 2005 at his residence. He was the head baseball coach at Pickerington North High School and a former assistant football coach at Pickerington Central High School, Jim has loved coaching for the past 28 years and was proud to be able to have his son on his current roster, currently employed at Progressive Medical, Inc., former mail carrier for the Reynoldsburg Post Office, a United States Army veteran, 1976 graduate of Pickerington High School, attended the University of Texas, and was a longtime devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Bailey Nevius; daughter, Erin Nevius; and son, Nick Nevius; mother, Jean A. Perry; brother, Jerry (Amy) Nevius of Delaware, Ohio; mother-in-law, Kathleen Bailey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue (Dennis) Neumann, Eileen (Steve) Boisseau, Kate (Phil) Roush, Jim (Chris) Bailey, Mary E. (Eric) Page, Mike (Melanie) Bailey; several nieces and nephews; and his special buddy, his dog "Koko". He was preceded in death by his father-in-law James G. Bailey, April 6, 2004. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North (State Route #256), Pickerington. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Seton Parish, 600 Hill Road North, Pickerington. Interment Violet Cemetery.
