1939 - 2018
James Samuel Sturdivant. passed away at home on July 6. 2018. Born in Henderson, Texas on August 7, 1939. He is survived by his wife, Mabel E. Sturdivant; and sons, Steven Sturdivant and James S. Sturdivant II. Jim grew up in West Texas working the cotton fields and cotton gins. His love of farming and mechanics came together. He joined the National Guard and then Army's 82nd Airborne. Being able to fix most everything lead him to work at Worthington Foods and Ross Labs (Abbott) for over 45 years applying these skills. Cremation and private scattering of his ashes by family at place Jim enjoyed visiting. If you would like to remember Jim, please send donations to Ohio Living Hospice or Alzheimer's Association.
