1939 - 2021
Janet Marlene (Waugh) Wise, age 81, passed away on July 26, 2021 at home with her family at her side. Attended Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. The last eight years Janet shared a special bond with her great-grandson, Owen. She enjoyed playing Euchre and was known to be very competitive. Janet also enjoyed having dinner with the "Generation Gang". Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Edra Waugh, son Carl Wise, brothers Jack and James Waugh, sisters Judy Waugh and Martha Jean Blakeman, nephew Kyle Waugh. Survived by daughter, Dana (Bryan) Shoemaker; grandchildren, Carl Robert, Brooks, Brett, Megan, Paige, Alec, and Trevor; many great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn (David) Willett; brothers, John (Patti) Waugh and Jerry (Carla) Waugh; sister-in-law, Polly Waugh; Janet's boyfriend, Bill Haywood, and her special friend, Bev Stump; nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 3-7pm at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43207, where service will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:30am, with Pastor Dr. Tim W. Stout officiating. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery. Janet was simply a wonderful person who radiated love to all even through difficult health situations. She was a joy to have as a patient. I will miss her. My condolences to Dana and her loving family.
