Jeffrey D. Zerby

ZERBY Jeffrey D. Zerby, age 66, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He is survived by his loving spouse of 42 years, Marilyn; devoted sons, Chris (Heather), Ryan (Sharma), Justin and David; grandchildren, Jerricca, Bridget, Jordan, Lauren and Ethan; brother, Gary Zerby; nieces, nephews and a new grandniece; brothers-in-law, Lee, Oliver, Larry and Tom (Diana) Claypool; sisters-in-law, Sylvia (Fred) Kuonen and Suzanne Dunklin; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Claypool. Jeff graduated from Ohio University with Masters degrees from Case Western Reserve and BGSU. An educator for 40 years, he taught in Cleveland and then served in Kenton City Schools for 35 years as a psychologist and Special Education director. He was an active parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Jeff was a devoted family man who loved to garden, read, hike, travel and spend time with his grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. MONDAY at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065, (614)-792-1471 with Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. TUESDAY, May 11, 2010 at ST. JOAN OF ARC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 10700 Liberty Rd., Powell, OH 43065.
