Jerry, Growing up you were just like family at our home on Murray Hill. Charlie & Ruth Burns are my parents. He always called me "Sissy" or Gidget and Gadget. You were loved by many, you were such a great man. Bret he was so proud of you. I am sorry for your loss. Peace be with you.

We are so sad to hear of Jerry"s sudden passing. He was such a source of support for his family and friends. He was tremendously kind to both of us and always made us feel special. I remember Jug from our school days at Wilton North. He would also be at my Uncle Jim and Aunt Peg Shifflets on Hague Ave once in awhile when I was there. I hadn't seen him in years, when one day I went to Tommie's Diner for lunch, who was at the table next to me...Jug. He still remember who I was after all those years. He usually had a funny joke and a smile for everyone. Jugs work on Earth is done and now he's in a much better place. Rest in Peace, Jerry. You will be missed by many.

I have been a neighbor and friend for many years and will miss Jerry very much. We called him "Jug" a childhood nick-name. He had an infectous laugh and was a really good neighbor always knew he was there if I needed him! Love and Prayers to his family.

Jerry was a frequent face throughout my childhood. We visited with Peggy and Jim Shifflet and Jerry was frequently there as he lived close by. I remember him as "Jug" and he had a red birthmark on his cheek that I couldn't help but look at as a child.... I remember Mom saying after a while you won't even notice it. Years later when Jug had his birthmark removed I remember thinking that now he just looks weird. I guess Mom was right, I noticed yet again when it was gone. Jug always had a kind word for us and a jolly laugh. I remember him fondly.
God Bless to everyone who is hurting from his loss. He was a fine man.
