Joan Severance Obituary

Severance, Joan
Joan R. (Wright) Severance, age 89, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Country-View of Sunbury. She was born March 8, 1929 in Detroit, MI to the late Owen and Rose (Mathey) Wright and is also preceded in death by her husband Ralph P. Severance and son Ralph Philip "Phil" Severance. Joan is survived by her son, Craig Alan Severance. She graduated from North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, MN and worked for Severance Tool in Saginaw, MI. It was there that she met her husband, Ralph who together were married for over 50 years. Joan was primarily a homemaker and loved reading, gardening, and working with ceramics. She will be missed. A visitation will be held 1:30-3 p.m. with a funeral service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's name may be made to CompDrug Senior Sense Program, 547 E. 11th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211 or North Central University, 910 Elliot Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404.
