I met Johnny when we were 5 years old and my family had just relocated from Circleville to the big city of Columbus. He was my first friend. We learned to ride 2-wheeled bikes together, we had pogo-stick contests, we recorded songs from the radio and played them over and over so we could memorize the words. We used drum sticks as our microphones and had our own "rock star" moments long before it was "cool" and long before it was a video game. Our friendship was carefree and easy. Little did I know that we were making life-long memories. Johnny was a kind soul who had a gentle spirit. I will cherish my memories of him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May you find peace and comfort with all of your memories, too.

FiFi and family,

Words seem so utterly insufficient, whether spoken in comfort or to encourage. Just know that the prayers of our family and of our church are with each of you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight - Proverbs 3:5.

We love you and our prayers are with you,

Fi Fi, Tim, Melissa and Alicia,

I am so sorry for your loss. Johnny was always so sweet caring and loving when we were growing up. I still remember him coming to dad's showing to support our family in our time of grief. I will keep you all in my prayers. I know this very difficult for all of you but remember to lean on God and each other and you will make it because God said "If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it."
