John McCotter Obituary

McCotter John "Jack" L. McCotter, 88, born in Columbus on May 12, 1925, passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2014. Jack served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. He will be missed by his wife of 67 years, Martha; children, Bonnie (Bob) Cutlip, Nancy Yotz (Bill), John (Donna), Mary (Paul) Kaser; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and many loving and caring friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by parents George and Florence and siblings Inez, George Jr., twin sister Jean, and Russell. Large family gatherings, travel, camping and fishing were the things he loved most in life. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna, where Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014. Pastor Edward Wright officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Many of my fondest memories involve the McCotter family.....I have been truly blessed and my life changed forever by this wonder family. May God bless and comfort you in your hours of grief and may many life time of memories of such a wonderful man bring a smile to your heart.
