1946 - 2021
John M. Montgomery Jr., 74, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away March 22, 2021. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 14, 1946 to the late John and Hilda (Conwell) Montgomery Sr. He is preceded in death by his brother Terry, sisters Melody and Sondra. Surviving family includes loving wife of over 54 years, Nancy Montgomery; children, Melissa "Missy" (Paul) Belgen, John "LJ" R. Montgomery; grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Belgen, Amanda, Celseiy and Emily Montgomery; siblings, Gayla Pearson, Diana (Larry) Davis; as well many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. John attended The Ohio State University, graduating from Franklin University with a Bachelor in Business Administration; afterwards serving in the United States Navy Reserve. He worked for 28 Anheuser-Busch Company, as a director of purchasing; also working at The Hampton Inn, the New Albany location in his later years. In 1976 and 1977, he was President of the Forest Park Civic Association. He did charity work for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as well as many Minority groups. John loved History, Science Fiction, his pets, and traveling with his family. He will be truly missed by those who loved him. For service updates visit www.newcomercolumbus.com
