John S. Rovtar, of Worthington, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 67. John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sheri; son, Steve, daughter-in-law, Sharon and grandsons, Alex and Jack; son, Mike, daughter-in-law, Cindy and grandsons, Eli and Max; daughter, Melissa. Funeral services to be held at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Visiting hours: Sunday, March 25 between 12-2pm, and Monday, March 26 between 1-3pm; memorial service at 3pm. Full obituary to follow soon at www.rutherfordfuneralhome.com.

So sorry and shocked to here of John's passing. I will miss his big smile and awesome personality. I met John at Outdoor Sports Headquarters when Outdoor bought Gilbert Sporting Goods Distributor in Cinti. Ohio in 1983. I have kept in touch with John since he started working at Sportco Marketing, from which I retired from in 1997. My thoughts and prayers are with John and his family.

Sheri and family...Life delivers few hero's. As a friend and onetime co-worker John was one of my true hero's.
His devotion to family always outweighed his love of work and yet he is remembered as one of the best negotiators I ever had the pleasure of working with.

John called on me for many years when he worked for Beretta. He was a tremendous salesperson and a true gentlemen. I truly enjoyed our visits and always regarded John as a friend as well as a business associate. He was a great guy . . . .
