John was my first supervisor after college. I remember the first business trip we took together to Louisville (my first trip for work). I was at the airport, John was not there. I got more and more worried, thought I was going to have to decide whether to go alone or not all all - when John arrived just at boarding carrying a briefcase and drawing tube. Man was I glad to see his smiling face.
I worked with John again 15 yesrs later. He was still smiling, even though we had all had to find new jobs after a "re-engineering" at our last company.
Thanks John for all you taught me about engineering and people.
