The Alder Family:
Charlie was with out a doubt a truly great friend. Having moved to Hilliard in 1956 he was one of the first people to greet me. We then began to play baseball together with a bunch of great guys. We always hung out together after Saturday doubleheaders, playing ping pong in Charlie Salyer's garage, going bowling, the Jets games, etc. That was the great thing about our baseball team, the togetherness. It all culminated in a District Championship in 1962. How fitting that Charlie caught the last out of the game to preserve the win. It was no easy catch, either. I can still see it today. Wonderful memorieas never fade away.
I am sure going to miss you Charlie. You were and always will be a great friend.

Second base will always be yours. Thanks again Charlie, you will always be in my mind and heart, Dave " Snake " Schaller, Columbus,Ohio
